The Wizard Returns

Submitted by Damselfly

This summer, Mum had an issue with her mower.  A neighbor was using his big tractor to mow her yard, but circumstances prevented him from doing so later in the season.  She needed a mower.  I asked Hubby if we could give her our mower and search for another option for ourselves.  He knows my stubborn nature and quickly agreed to my plan and we delivered the mower to her.  Happy Mum!

Connections

I am sitting in a quiet room.  The sun is shining and the sky is blue.  I am happy to be in this place.  On Thursday, my friend Fancy called from Annapolis, Maryland.  “Can you come for a visit?”  After a few phone calls, I called her back.  “Is tomorrow too soon?”

Strongest You - Chapter 1

Submitted by Damselfly

My sweet Boxer dog Jaxon had me awake an hour before the alarm this morning.  I guess 4:30 AM is not early enough for him.  I did try going back to bed to relish in that last hour of comfort in my cocoon.  My brain was not going to have it.  Last night, I got my acceptance email into Strongest You Coaching from my coach with a list of expectations for both of us, and my list of next steps!

Colorado - Day 3

Submitted by Damselfly

We got up early on Saturday morning, and of course, I had a plan.  Today would be the day we would delve into the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, at the recommendation of my old friend Steve Schweitzer, esteemed author and fly fisherman.  I had maps.  I had trails marked.  I had alternative trails marked.  We had our gear ready, food and water packed and off we went to find Hallie Trailhead to start our hike.

Colorado - Day 1

Submitted by Damselfly

Last year, I rekindled my love of travel and adventure when Katie Q and I trekked across the country.  Visiting the national parks, seeing sights unseen, and getting a glimpse of some great fishing waters reminded me that I needed to get back out there.  I have been getting out to visit friends and enjoying the eastern part of the country.  Hubby and I decided that this year, we would make a trip out west.

Reach

Submitted by Damselfly

Good morning!  I promise to report out on the trip to Colorado, but for now, I have a need to talk about learning to “go for it” in life.  This past weekend, I took part in the very first step in teaching classical Pilates with a company called Power Pilates.  Despite the name, this is not some over-the-top-go-as-hard-as-you can workout.  It IS as physically and mentally challenging as you make it.
